Word is Out — Auntie Em’s gets noticed on TV, print, & blogs
Larry Olmstead from USA Today’s “Great American Bites” column dined at Auntie Em’s this past fall and presents a glowing review.
“Almost everything, from the granola to the raspberry lemonade, even the ketchup, is made here from scratch – and it shows. What is brought in is carefully sourced, from fresh La Brea bakery breads to Straus Family Creamery organic yogurt and Point Reyes bleu cheese.
That’s the magical recipe for success here: a passion for home cooking, first-rate fresh ingredients and creative, sometime whacky, new takes on classic comfort foods.” Click the USA Today logo above to read the full story.

Terri Wahl started as a caterer, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have serious chef cred. Auntie Em’s, her funky retro Eagle Rock café, has been welcoming loyal customers for years. While the food is great, the baked items are even better. Red velvet cupcakes, pear pecan muffins, coconut lime scones — the bakery menu reads like a transcript of my dreams. Eastsiders rejoice, because there’s no place like home.
